About Us

The Crockett Housing Authority since 1963 has been committed to providing decent, safe and sanitary housing to the residents of Crockett, Houston County, Texas and surrounding areas.

As methods change, the Authority continues to move forward with the times, serving the housing needs of hundreds of people with 278 public housing units.

Today, as in 1963, the need for available and affordable housing continues to exist. Our goal continues to stay the same to provide housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Our vision, we believe everyone deserves a place to call home. Communities are stronger when everyone has a chance to thrive. Affordable housing is an important part of the solution to reduce poverty. While creating a brighter future through positive change and pathways for people to enhance their quality of life.
